we never go with the hot hand though

Hilliard got more pt for being the hot hand but Ware still got a ton of carries for 1 yard a pop. But I'm sure that was to wear down the defense for everyone else.

I just can't see it. The other two have the ability/talent and have practiced against the best defense in the country for over a year...

Also they have a grasp of the playbook and have a chemistry with current players.

Not sure what's going on around here, but I'm agreeing with you about this whole QB situation. Odd.

Now, go talk to Moustache and see if you can talk him into stop being a complete pussy about this entire thing.

On a serious note, I think this thing is so overblown because of the loyalty Miles showed Jefferson. The difference here is Jefferson was here for 4 years. He knew the playbook. He was with the team for 4 years. He knew the system.

Bolden is coming in 2 years behind. Not knowing a damn thing.

I'm not sure I understand the logic behind people thinking that he's just going to come in and be the #2 guy with absolutely nothing on his plate. Nothing.

But I guess it's a double edged sword considering no one liked the way he handled Jefferson. I get it, but it's unfair and ridiculous.

No way this kid steps in and automatically becomes the #2. Who knows? He can come in and the coaching staff can see that he completely sucks and he sits the bench for 2 years. No one reported him working out for anyone.

Buyer's remorse happens with EVERYONE. We'll see what happens. Give the situation a chance.

You don't think that strategy fits?

Hilliard ended up with 9 TD's with a backfield FULL of talent.

You're complaining about a situation here and I'm not sure where you find fault?

you really think that defenses are so tired of Ware getting 1 yard gains that they just let Alfred Blue run free in the 4th? Cute. JC Copeland blocking and a 250 lb Hilliard I think can do ok without Ware wearing everyone down with his no gains.

So ball control isn't one of your favorite things? Short yardage? Tiring out the defense is a myth?

So you want to give Hilliard ALL the carries? Just let him get beat up?

I know you think you're never wrong and everyone else here is just dumb, so I have to ask. What is the best strategy with the RB's? What do you want to see?

if you rush 3 times for 8 yards, you have to punt. Kinda goes against ball control.

With Ware's one yard gains? yes.

Link? Hilliard, Ford, and Blue should be before Ware.

Hilliard starts and gets 12-18 carries
Ford and Blue 5-10 each
Ware 3-4 carries tops and throw him some passes out the backfield

Props. That's all I wanted to see. I can agree with that sort of distribution.

I fully expected a condescending reply with no real substance.

How does it not make sense? He's got experience. Let's say Mett has to miss one game due to injury mid season. I'd like to have a guy that's 11-5 in 16 starts in a BCS conference as an option to preserve a potential special season / NC shot. Rivers and Randall last took a meaningful snap in HS. If anything it creates competition. If they can beat him out put their asses in then. Liggins would have been here taking up reps too anyway.

Thats why you give them time in the gimme games early in the season to get them some game time. Instead you would rather bring in a guy who has bad numbers in a weak conference to play again SEC defenses you really thing his numbers will get better?

Updated this...jsut read a summary on the first 5 practices.

- Added the new heights and weights first

- Moved Bolden from #2 to #3 behind Rivers. Rivers is clearly ahead not just in playbook but also accuracy.

- Shuffled RBs around, don't really think there's a solid order for 1-4, as once again fresh legs/hot hand approach...Blue is the most complete back according to reports so he gets the #1 nod now, Ware is still a bit out of shape and coming off injury and goes down to #4

- Moved Dural up on the WR list, also moved Shepard down as it seems the Top 4 WR are OBjr, Wright, Landry and Boone...in that order. Haven't heard much of anything on Fobbs, Turner or Williams

- Moved Nic Jacobs up one spot, could challenge SR. Tyler Edwards for his spot

- Shuffled the OL around a lot. The 1st team seems to be set now with Collins getting that LG spot. Dworaczyk will be a utility guy used anywhere a starting OL goes down sans OC where Porter is the backup there. 2nd team is fairly set as well, Alexander has pretty much locked down #2 RT spot

- Moved The Freak down behind Josh Downs because Downs is apparently ahead of him, but keep a close eye on this one

- Moved Feist to MLB because that's where he has been moved, he is the biggest of the freshman LBs, look for Grainer to redshirt...it will be a constant shuffle show at OLB between Louis and Debo on who will get that 2nd team OLB spot alongside Luke Muncie...Debo and Louis are ahead of Alexander and Phillips...Phillips is a definite redshirt, Alexander may be too just to make sure that injury doesn't get re-aggrivated

- Didn't make any changes with the DBs, seems they are coming along as projected...Haven't heard anything about Duplessis at safety so Corey Thompson and the surprise of fall camp, Sandolph may move ahead of him soon

Turner is too low. LSU Sports that updated yesterday has him 2nd string behind Landry.

There literally hasn't been a peep about him during these practices, in fact he was missing for a while from practice entirely.

The Top 4 WRs from the experts at practices at X and Z are OBjr, Wright, Landry and Boone...with Shepard on the outside looking in.

Yeah he has been on the sideline for the last few practices. To quote Les, Turner is "a little nicked up."

2nd on depth chart behind Jarvis Landry

So he gets nicked up the first week of practice and drops to next to last out of all the receivers?
