It's not overpriced if people buy it.

So many gripes about things being overpriced. Cane's is doing fine. Juban's is doing fine. The fact that you don't think it's worth the price doesn't mean it's overpriced. That is all.

If I think it's overpriced, that means it's over priced.

That is such bullshite.

People buy $2,000,000,000 Yachts. "Over priced" is subjective.

Cane's is overpriced, their portions and size went down, while prices have gone up. Greed drives profits, it's just the way it is. You give the people the least you can give them while charging the most you can.

Crawfish in Houston and the FQ are overpriced. Refuse to buy them.

Which means they weren't overpriced. The market supported that price or it wouldn't have sold.

This is the root of any disagreement here. Is it subjective? From an economic standpoint it is objective. It is market supply and demand that supports price points, not what your individual opinion is.

Overpriced to you. See above.

So people who are upside down in their houses didn't pay too much for them? That's interesting.

Do people buy it? Again, I'm talking about simple economics here. I'm not talking about what you find to be an affront to you sensibilities.

Not trolling at all. And I agree the concept is very simple. If people are willing to pay a certain price for a set of goods and/or services is it overpriced?

That has absolutely nothing to do with this discussion. An individual's choice to pay more than they can afford or the market supports has little to do with whether the house was overpriced. The market supported the price at the time of purchase (although that is a unique situation with all the fast and loose lending and borrowing that occurred).

But to talk about people borrowing and paying too much for their house is a far cry from statements like "Juban's is overpriced", when the fact is Juban's sells all the Hallelujah Crabs they can stand to a public that is eager to pay the price.
