We should move the Alabama game to the end of the season since Alabama is our biggest rivalry and this would ensure us that the game would be played on Saturday.

If we're going to play away games in Fayetteville, I'd rather we play A&M to end the season. At least CS is within reasonable distance. I'm not going to drive a 16 hour round trip to northern Arkansas on Thanksgiving weekend.

I want TA&M on Friday. Two teams with national appeal and storied pasts will draw big ratings.

A&M for recruiting purposes

I'm not from East Texas or LA but I enjoy the idea of incorporating some gumbo, jambalaya, or mudbugs into my Thanksgiving mix.
I'm a little surprised people are concerned about jacking up their holiday with football. This is a football board, no? Any holiday would be enhanced with football.
I'm the only Aggie in my immediate family, but they all understand that if I get tickets I'm heading up to Austin or Aggieland for the game. And they all watch the game back at home too.
What do you do with your family during Thanksgiving anyway? Sit around and talk? Watch TV? You can still do all these things, except something great will be on.
The amount of exposure this game would receive on Thanksgiving night would be tremendous. Turning Thanksgiving into a border war gets me jacked up. Bring it on.

I really don't have a preference. Maybe in the future I will, but for now it does'nt matter.

A&M.
Home and home then,
Consider a move to Reliant every third year as an option.

My view is that the symmetry of a La. vs. Tx. and A & M Tx vs. A & M LSU matchup is a more natural rivalry.
Both are A % M schools that are geographically close. Both have strong ROTC traditions. Both have strong conservative traditions.
Univ of Arkansas is so far up in NW Arky that even many central and south Arky residents feel distant from that school. Hog town is in no way a natural rival of LSU Tigertown.
I think that LSU A & M vs. Texas A & M has big potential.

Yeah, I'm sure Bama will stop wanting to play Auburn at the end of the year. Great plan!

A&M at night on thanksgiving

I think of a rivalry as two teams equally wanting to scum the other whatever their won-loss records. We've never had that except for the Tulane game 100 years ago. Since we don't have a rivalry we're prime meat for promotion to create one where none exists. This is so everyone else can have their end of season rivalry game intact on the schedule.
The closest we've had to a rivalry is Alabama, but it's not a rivalry the way Auburn-Alabama is. In the end it doesn't really matter who they give us; the game's only significance is from the won loss records of the two teams.
But if we had to prefer one, take A&M. The football programs in the US with the most color and tradition are Army, Notre Dame, Navy, LSU, and Texas A&M. Both LSU and A&M's fan bases are the most fanatic of all--in the nation. Plus, I'm sure they'll bring their band; it's the best college band out there.

Aggirls the saturday after thanksgiving.

Looks like A&M is going to lap Arkansas pretty quick and become a better team. I am basing this off of recruiting performances. So from purely a competition stand-point, I would like the aggies.
