I often have tidbits that are unworthy of starting a new topic for, so I'll just start offloading them all into here for fellow Gunners to take a gander at.

good article about Koscielny, Chamakh, and our GK dilemma

Jagielka, Igor Akifeev & Shwarzer rumors

recent friendly highlights:
Arsenal (3) - Sk Sturm Graz (0)

Arsenal (4) - Barnet (0)

interesting stat:
In 51 possible games since Arshavin's debut, he, Fabregas & RVP have started 9 Prem Lge games together, W7 D2 L0 = Win % 78%. @GoonerCarlito

reasons to hate almost every member of Barca in their tapping up of Cesc

We are the Tottenham the pride of the south,
We hate the Arsenal cos they are all mouth,
We took the north bank and that was frick all,
The Tottenham will rise and the Arsenal will fall.

My old man said be a Arsenal fan,
I said "frick off, bollocks you're a c*nt"
We took the North Bank in half a minute,
We took the the Shed with the Chelsea in it,
We Hammered the Hammers,
With carving knifes and spanners,
We taught the Millwall how to fight,
So I'll never be a Gunner,
Cos every c*nts a runner,
That's what I told my old man.

one victory every decade is a modest form of victory/downfall, imo

we were careful to use the word "will," which of course is future tense

I'm interested to see how Chamakh pans out. I love him, one of my favorite players, but he doesn't really score a ton of goals. I wonder how he and RVP will pair, and how much theyll play together

I'd be all for Akifeev to join the Gunners. Get him Arsene.

If Wilshere plays well in the Emirates Cup, I think he sticks around at Arsenal. I really want him to break out in the red and white, not at Bolton. Frimpong is another that I think could get a lot more PT this year or next. Yet another very talented, young Ghanaian footballer and our DM of the future.

I've been a fan of Jagielka since he was with the Blades (and single-handedly beat us), but I don't want to overpay for him. Akifeev would be an awesome GK signing, but I haven't really heard anything linking us to him until now. Hopefully AW can jump on that. Also there is rumors of Almunia to Osasuna, which would be awesome.

This is my projected lineup:

GK (I honestly have no idea who)

Sagna-Jagielka-Vermaelen-Clichy

Nasri-Fab-Song

RvP-Chamakh-Arshavin

Nick Bendtner will score more goals this than Chamakh.

Chamakh is weird in the sense that he was born in France but plays for an African nation, usually the other way around.

I have a feeling the FFF is considering bringing back the guillotine.

Didn't Blanc basically ban all 23 who were in SA this year?

As predicted earlier i think Samir Nasri is going to have a big year. I bet being left out the FFF really got behind him, to work more during the offseason(like he needed it). Should be an interesting season if Arsenal can stay healthy.
