Can you imagine the pandemonium that would cause?

All I can say is that it would be beyond epic. And I would for about a week straight.

When that happened I wouldn't be surprised if it sparked a Welsh revolution. Those MF'ers are nuts.

The Moors would be lit on fire and a horde of drunken Welshman would stream across the border and light the queen's hair on fire.

Stars of the show have to be Wilshere and Frimpong. JET has looked solid.
Oh and Nasri has continued his impressive preseason

I haven't actually seen any of the matches, but from all the viewer comments and such it seems Wilshere is very nearly playing at a level where he could start for Arsenal at Midfield. He will at least be included in the bench from the sounds of it.

Frimpong is another pleasant surprise. I have read he is very decisive and tactical at his tackles and distributes the ball simply but is quick to get it off his feet. If he can play at that level against EPL level competition then that provides a much needed backup to Song as a defensive minded center midfielder.

J. Thomas, I wonder if he can actually partner up with Van Persie. Arsenal still needs a second, and I am not too confident with Vela, or Beowulf. If Thomas plays well it could be a striker by committee type deal. Which never hurts, especially considering Arsenal will be playing European ball as well. They need all the fresh legs they can get.

Nasri, what can I say. All comments and views state he is playing very near his top form level. Which, is amazing. I would have loved to see a healthy Nasri at the start of last season. It was just unlucky how Nasri, Cesc, Van Persie, and Arshavin could never seem to be healthy at the same time.

All this being said, Arsenal still desperately need another top notch center half to pair with Verm. And of course, a competent Keeper.

Ivan Gazidis apparently was in Germany for 2 days, and the Mirror has linked us with Per Mertesacker. Dunno what his form has been like lately but I'd be pleased with that signing based on his experience and club associations.

He's been linked for about a month now actually. Him along with a bunch of other center half's I have never heard of, other than Jagielka.

I don't think JET or Frimpong will get into the Arsenal first team this season...I would imagine both would go out on loan. Just not quite ready yet imo. Both could be Carling Cup players, but I think they would be better suited playing more frequently.

I didn't think JET could, but you don't think Frimpong gets his shot? All they have is Song and Denilson at that spot. Song has his African duties, and they are injured fairly often.

Loan spells where they get first team duties would do wonders in helping them grow though. Hopefully some other EPL teams(most likely bottom half sides) can nab them up.

Frimpong definitely has a shot to stick around at Arsenal, moreso than JET who has RvP, Chamakh, Bendtner, and Vela to pass up. He wouldn't get that much PT at all though (barring injury) so Wenger will have to make a tough choice on whether or not to send him out or not. The next African Cup of Nations isn't until 2012 so Song should be available all see. It does seem rather clear that Frimpong has passed up Eastmond on the depth chart, which is good because Eastmond's frail frame worried me.

damn... well, at least we bought chamakh for cover in times like this, but the problem that article seems to indicate is that RvP may not be fully fit. Not sure how confident I am with our front line being Arshavin-Chammy-Theo against Liverpool.

B needs to rest himself. He's had that groin problem for what seems like 3 months now. Hope he didn't injure himself tryin' to make that baybay with the missus.

francis coquelin, arsenal loanee at ligue 1 side Lorient this season, had a fine assist on an even better one time goal in the U19 match vs. Croatia:

Just watched the highlights from the game. I really hope Jay Thomas is the real deal because he certainly looks the part. Wilshere needs to be with our first team this year and we look so much more fluid in general from the end of last season. But I think we always look more fluid at the beginning of the season anyway.

No Cesc or RvP for 'Pool would suck. Would force Wilshere into the lineup though, I'd imagine. As long as we have AA in the XI I'll be confident.
