South Carolina is not a "bad" job but it isnt a good job

It is on the same level as a Illinois, Arizona State, or Syracuse

Maybe have a good year every decade or so with some better than average years thrown in. Will never win anything of significance. No pressure.

Syracuse has had a national championship, maybe 2 and a couple of Heisman winners. Where did Jim Brown go?

I think the ACC is weird for them, but that's show business.

Arizona St and Syracuse are several levels above Illinois and South Carolina

Syracuse is not several levels above South Carolina.

Check your calendar. Syracuse hasn't been relevant is almost 20 years. And before that success in the 90s, they rarely were relevant.

We missed on our first 2 candidates. We are going to get our third.

Happens all the time at schools everywhere

Yeah but how often are their next options coaches that literally just failed.

I'd always thought South Carolina was on par with arkansas and ole miss in terms of coaching job, but this struggle makes me think otherwise.

Who says it has been a struggle?

We have absolutely no idea of what is actually happening. We know that Herman is staying at Houston to buy time for Texas and Kirby Smart's dream job unexpectedly opened up. Can't really see that as a reflection on the South Carolina job.

Guess Holtz and Morrison are forgotten in the history books?

Holtz, you take away the first year had an overall winning record.

It is a good job due to conference expectation and location
