He's a decent recruiter, but I don't think he's done anything noteworthy outside of being at LSU in that regard, so I don't know if I'd say he's that great at recruiting. He's done ok here but didn't do much at Kentucky.

He's not a good coach. Aranda is great with linebackers. He's where the credit goes for Duke Riley's development this season. Aranda is second to none at developing linebackers, so don't let any press release fool you if it says peveto did such and such with our linebackers lol.

Peveto has been a coaching liability.

So, he may help your recruiting a little, but you better pray he has no real coaching responsibility

This is a textbook example of how the coaching circles is one big good 'ole baw network. How does Bradley Dale Peveto continue to land new jobs?

Peveto is an absolutely terrible coach. Seriously, he basically lived out of a suitcase to be a salesman because he can't coach anything.

I'm sorry, but I really don't see Peveto helping Ole Miss much at all. His best Texas connect was a high school coached by two LSU alums.

If he somehow continues his recruiting success at OM, then more power to him. Still I have my doubts.

Defense is all about physical talent more than scheme, so I think it's a net positive for Ole Miss.

Can't hide talent deficiencies in the SEC so I guess we'll take BDP.

Well aware of that. Said he wanted him to focus on special teams. And we have an elite linebacker coach in Aranda on staff now.

But come on guys. He's coached some pretty damn good linebackers at LSU. Debo, Kwon, Donnie Alexander, Beckwith, Riley...and that's just in the past few years. Go back to his first stint with LSU and the list is even more impressive. It's ok to be glad he's gone because you didn't like the special teams, but acknowledge that he's done a pretty good job with our linebacker core....good enough that coupled with his recruiting, he's a big get for ole miss.

Let's see how great of a recruiter he is when he's selling scholly reductions, bowl bans, probation and a lame duck head coach. Not to mention trying to sell OM vs LSU to begin with. This ain't apples to apples. Hell, this ain't fruit to fruit

Will Ole Miss let him take over the recruiting of Cam Akers?

He's an excellent recruiter but anything he touches from a coaching aspect turning into dick cancer.

Let him recruit and cook BBQ. Give him a bullshite coaching title where he doesn't do anything on the field. If you can do that, then it's a good hire for OM.

It must be hard to be an old white guy recruiting young black thugs in Mississippi and south Louisiana.

You said he's thought of as a very good linebacker coach everywhere outside tigerdroppings. The fact that the only major school he's been a LB coach at is Lsu. And literally only under miles. Because the first day there was a different head coach at Lsu, he no longer coached linebackers.

Perhaps you should consider editing that post, and your entire premise, to something like ''he's thought of as a complete joke as a LB coach by everyone except les miles."

Riley was a literal nobody before this year. Arranda got to Lsu this year, and was his coach for the majority of the year. Riley's play improved significantly after auburn. I'm not sure why you think peveto should get any credit for his play this year.

Beckwith is a mlb. Peveto worked with outside linebackers. In addition to that, beckwith was a good player last year that took a substantial leap forward this year. Once again, arranda got to Lsu this year.

I'm not sure what Donnie Alexander has accomplished at this point that makes you think he's worth mentioning, but either way his play also substantially improved after peveto was demoted.

Deion jones was a great player for 1 year.

Didn't Kwon Alexander say this past weekend that he never learned how to study film. If true, who's responsibility do you think that is?

He will be so far up Hugh Freeze arse holding his headphone cords and that will be the extend of his coaching abilities besides landing a good recruit in the Oxford area. Also, if Les returns to coaching which is doubtful, Peveto will leave Ole Miss to follow him.
