Per SEC Sports: HOOVER, Alabama (SEC Network) -- Vamderbilt struck early and often to bury Tennessee, 10-0, in run-rule fashion in a SEC Tournament semifinal Saturday at the Hoover Met.
The 4-seed Commodores took any potential drama out of the equation early by piling up a 7-0 lead after the first three innings, and then cruised to the victory that secures them a spot in Sunday's championship final vs. the winner of Saturday's second semifinal between 3-seed LSU and 7-seed Ole Miss.
Rustan Rigdon led Vandy with three hits, but all nine batters in the lineup contributed at least one hit apiece. Riley Nelson and Mike Mancini had two each. Rigdon, Nelson and Mancini each had two RBI.
