Per Texas: AUSTIN, Texas — The No. 8 Texas baseball team had its 17-game winning streak snapped by UTSA, falling to the Roadrunners, 8-7, Tuesday evening at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
Texas (17-2) picked up its first loss since Feb. 14, ending its longest winning streak since 2010.
UTSA catcher Andrew Stucky hit a go-ahead home run in the 12th inning and right-hander Braylon Owens (3-1) slammed the door on the Longhorns' longest game since March 29, 2019.
After the Roadrunners (17-6) scored five unanswered runs to take a 7-6 advantage, Texas catcher Rylan Galvan crushed a game-tying 428-foot shot in the eighth.
