We're booked for Danube River cruise on July 9. Keeping our fingers crossed.

Can someone give a quick rundown on these Viking river cruises?
Are they considerably different/better than your average cruise?

In the FWIW category, our Rhine Cruise on 4/19 was cancelled, BUT they offered us a 125% credit! So, we rebooked in November 2021 on the Elbe. An upgrade for us.
Edit: I've been Facebook friends with one of the attendants on Viking from Serbia. He just texted me this...
Yes, they told me this morning Some river cruises cancelled whole season.
DukeSilver: We've had several threads on Viking Cruises. The topics range from the value to the age demographic they tend to attract yada yada. So do your research and make your own conclusions.
Now, having said that, we've done 2 and are in the "it's an amazing experience" category. We did the Romantic Danube and Eastern Passage. Wife did the Danube Waltz separately. They do EVERYTHING for you. Small ship. Max capacity of up to 190 passengers. The food is great. We buy the Silver Spirits package for premium drinks and find that worth it. You don't have to do the scheduled tours. What we love is the price / accommodations are so cheap (relatively speaking), that once you're over there you can easily and cheaply build your own side trips before or after the cruise. HIGHLY recommend them. (And full disclosure, we'd guess the average age of the passengers to be in the upper 50's low 60's probably. Had some younger couples and some that were very much older. They accommodate all passengers and their preferences. Some just sat and read and enjoyed the cruise!)
Some pics from the Eastern Passage Trip (We did a week prior to cruise in Romania! HIGHLY recommend that!)
