The wife and I are looking for a getaway the second week of October. Since she's pregnant, it will be a relaxing one but want to see outdoors, take pictures, etc.
Anyone have any experience traveling to Ozark National Forest in Arkansas? We were between that and Amicalola Falls in Georgia. Any other like trips recommended?

Find you a rental cabin in the Mountain View Arkansas area. Very nice in October and a very laid back place to visit. If you play the guitar...bring it with you and take in "The Square".

We love Amicalola and go probably once year. Nice Lodge. Dahlonega is 25m away and has great shopping and restaurants.
Try looking around Blue Ridge GA too. Lots of nice restaurants, cabins and outdoor activities.
Highlands and Cashier NC is also great.
