I did mine at JFK so I imagine they might have a lot to process.

Since I've gotten my PreCheck, the most I've had to do is take my shoes off, toiletry bag out and computer out. This is only at the airports/terminals that do not have a full TSA PreCheck line. Basically, any larger airport, you will be able to leave everything on and fly through security.

Always ask.

I flew out of Paducah (for real) this past weekend. Place only has two flights a day so no Precheck line. I asked when I got up there and I at least got to keep my belt and shoes on.

Flying back from Chattanooga, same thing. Only one security line. If you have pre-check, they gave you a purple card which indicated you could keep all your clothes on
