Taking 3-year-old to Natchitoches Christmas Fest

Any restaurant or attraction recommendations? What are the places we need to see/eat? I enjoy history. Wife likes to window shop. Three-year-old just wants to have fun. I've never been. Don't really know what to expect or what I'm getting myself into.
Thanks in advance

My experience is limited to two trips. It’s just one street along the river with shops and some restaurants, you walk up and down, can go in the shops... you need to get there mid afternoon... depending on what day you go, you’ll want to eat around 4... there are only a few restaurants so they’re packed. Then head down to the river once it’s dark, they’ll have some games/jumpy things for the 3 y/o, food stations down there too... then watch the fireworks.
Think we went to maglieauxs but I wouldn’t go back

Been a few years but I remember Mama’s Oyster house and the Landing being good and right downtown on the river. Easy to walk around to several places
