Going to be spending a long weekend there in May. My wife and I are amateur divers (some experience, but definitely not pros). Any experiences/thoughts?

Watch out for bombs on the ferry boats.

Check out Aldora Divers. Typical down times > 1 hr. Useing 32 cuft tanks filled to 3300 psi. We stay at Villa Aldora. Diving and accommodations are top notch.
Try ElMoro and Wet Wendys for dinner

Small shop.....Carribean Divers. Cesar is owner. Nice boat....not a speed boat. Take you time getting out to the reefs.....lay out on upper deck. Enjoy the best surface interval sammich known to man. Safe operation. I have over 100+ dives with this company

If you will be diving with a group look into getting a private dive master for just you and your wife. One of our first dives with a group turned into a disaster and nearly scared my wife. After that I started booking private dive masters for us and it gave my wife peace of mind and allowed me to actually enjoy my dives without having any worries.
