My wife was about to spend $10 to watch the latest Avengers on Vudu in UHD 4K. I saw they were selling the 4K movie with the 4K Blu Ray for $28, so I said get that because I have a new 4k Blu-Ray player with Atmos and Dolby Vision, which, my system is set up to take advantage of.

So now, my Vudu library shows I have the movie and can stream it. However, I just received the 4K combo from Walmart and haven't opened it. Why?

It says it has digital copy included. If there is a code inside that someone else can use to get a digital copy, I may sell the entire package and recoup my money (most of it, anyway) and still have the Vudu version available for streaming.

Can that work?

Did you order online thru your own account? If so I’m assuming it just automatically allows your account to access the digital copy once you pay for it

Here it is chronologically.

Ordered UHD 4k streaming movie, purchased, not rented, from Vudu.

Along with that purchase, I get the 4K Blu Ray.

4k Blu Ray arrives in mail. It includes:

- 4k Blu Ray disc
- HD Blu Ray disk
- Digital Copy code

So, if I never open this, I STILL own the purchased streaming rights to the 4k movie using Vudu or Movies Anywhere.

As it is, my question is...

If I sell the unopened package, that includes the digital code, (A) will the buyer get to use that digital code and (B) if the buyer uses the digital code, will my streaming rights cease on Vudu?

I just don't see how the two could be linked, but that's what I'm trying to determine.

If this works, then I'll just buy my movies this way, sell the disc packages on eBay and have my 4kmovies to watch on Vudu, which includes Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos in their streams.
