Any tips or tricks yall have found running speaker wire throughout the house?
For now, Im running everything off of an old Denon 7.1 channel receiver. 5 speakers in the main living area with the subwoofer and 2 speakers outside

Do you have an attic or crawl space? That would make things easier.

What specific information are you looking for? If you're putting speakers in the ceiling the only thing you need to do is to drill through the top plate at the head end and fish your wires down (and pray you don't have firestops in your house). Then you just cut the holes in the ceiling for the speakers after verifying that there isn't a joist in the way. Speakers will come with templates for the hole size to cut.
That's if volume is controlled remotely. If you want volume controls in the rooms you'll have to drill the top plate and fish the speaker wire to the volume control and then from the volume control to the speakers in the room.
ETA: The top plated at the head is most likely already drilled out and hopefully the hole is large enough to get the rest of the speaker wire down the wall.
