This won't be fun to do, but you'll need something like a Hauppauge HDPVR2 and record from the multi-colored RCA outputs. You can try HDMI, it likely won't work, though it's possible that it does.
When bought new it comes with some video capture software. I'd check with the seller if it were available. But basically you plug this into your computer and install the drivers. You install WinTV (I think that's the capture software. And I think I license is under $30 if you can't get it from the seller). You open the software. You plug in this to your DVR with the multi-colored video plugs, press "play" on the game from the DVR and push "record" on the software on the computer.

Once the game is over, you can name the file "LSU vs UT"
Repeat.

Not particularly easy or elegant, but I don't know of another way to do it. Not particularly difficult, either. But you need a fairly expensive adapter like the one I'm showing you, unfortunately. I do not know of a way to pull the files from the DVR. If you search your model number and "get recordings from (brand, model)," you're likely to find that no solution short of a screen capture like I'm showing you exists.

This one is one of the better tools (can do HD and keep your surround sound with the optical cable if you're into it). You could also find an HMDI stripper (just search Amazon) and use the HDMI port, but then you're adding more cost. Then again, if you're willing to spend $130 on that box, you'll probably be willing to spend $10-15 on a splitter, so I figured I'd include the thought

Thanks for the reply, Doc. Kinda got lost for a couple days. I will try with HDMI first as I'm unlikely to buy that box

Appreciate your help
