Trying to hook up sound bar to TV but the red/white jacks don’t work. How else should I try? I have 2 square spots, 1 spot I hooked my amplifier to for SS and it works. The other spot doesn’t work soundbar.

Use optical or hdmi input. Had no idea people still used the red/white jacks

So is there a difference in optical cables? Say between the ones you linked and this one? Do they all have the same sound quality or do some pass higher quality sound? The one below list this in the description
S/PDIF, ADAT's, Dolby Digital, & DTS.
Uncompressed PCM audio, compressed 5.1 to 7.1 surround sound systems including Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD High Resolution and LPCM.

Nah shouldn’t be that much of a difference they usually come with with a cheap one you’ll be fine with that
