Recovering Stolen iPhone ?

Anyone had an iPhone stolen and was able to get it back?
Had mine taken from a truck stop bathroom stall while on a trip. Called and had apple set it up to be deleted if somehow they get it open. Was able to track it for a while that day, but hasn’t moved since.
Contacted the sheriff dept in that area but haven’t heard back from them. Have a new phone now and changed all my passwords.
Anything I can do?
