protective covering over screen

Does Samsung UHD TV have a protective covering over screen? There was one around the outside frame but can't tell if the screen is covered.

Like out of the box? No, there is no plastic film that you are supposed to remove.
There may be a coating, but don't try to remove it

Yes. It is out of the box. Appreciate the help. I didn't want my better half to go at it with a pocket knife
