Playing Media on Insignia TV

Here is my issue...I often want to set up a tv to play a short, looping video. Currently, I have been playing the video on a laptop and piping it into an Insignia monitor via HDMI cable. transporting and setting all of this up has been a hassle, so I am looking for something simpler.
Can I play this video on an iPhone and somehow get that to show on the TV?
Is there any kind of media player that I can load onto the tv and play the video from a flash drive?
Any other ideas?
