Wife went out on a limb and got a PS5 for the family for Christmas. I’m not a gamer and haven’t picked up a controller in probably 10 years. That being said, she got Madden and The Show for me. I work offshore and was pretty stoked about the Remote Play feature. I set it up on my IPad and had it working while I was home but now that I’m offshore I’m having trouble connecting. I figured I was probably going to have to run through a VPN but with the little research I’ve done, it seems a little more complex than just setting up and login.

Does anybody have any experience doing this with any success??

ETA: It seems as though im actually making a connection with the Play Station as my wife said it turns on when I try to connect out here. Something is holding me out though.

I thought the same, but Ive seen of others doing it and they say its not bad at all. Thats not considering online gameplay, which is fine for while I am out here. Im not too tech savvy but ive seen some threads about port forwarding and was going to give that a try once I get back on land if I can figure it out.

Just wondering what others experiences, if any, might be.

You need to go to another network to see if it works. It will work on your local network without forwarding. Unless your company has it blocked, if you get it working outside of your local wifi, then it should work on the rig too.

Ill try the other network on the platform. Its restrictions are a lot more strict though.

This is what I am afraid of. I cant even access the PlayStation Store on the internet.

I got it working on my home internet but thats pretty much a no brainer. Still trying a few different settings out here though.
