Passing electrical wire through a fire block

Adding two recessed outlets to hide wires behind my mounted TV. Found a fire lock halfway between the areas I am wanting to run electrical wire.
What’s the best way to go about drilling through it? Should I invest in a flexible extended drill bit or should I just cut a hole near the fire block to get a drill in there to drill?
The fire block is in an area that’s visible and I feel like patching and painting a large hole will be evident.
Any advice?

Only two ways to get through it. Either get you a long flex bit and drill through it. Then tire wire through the little hole at the end of the bit and cut your hole down below to be able to pull it through or cut the sheet rock where the fire stop is and drill it that way and then patch the sheet rock
