Odd situation: Chromecast with Google TV device trying to mirror content

I have a Chromecast with Google TV attached to the tv in my office.
I sideloaded the Cox Contour app and successfully logged in. However, the chromecast gives me a message that screen mirroring is t supported on this device and tells me to turn off screen mirroring. Only problem is there is no setting in the app or in the chromecast to do that, since the chromecast is designed to receive a mirrored screen, not to send one out. It’s like the app wants to send the content to another device.
Any ideas? Or am I just out of luck since the Contour app is not supported on chromecast.

Never mind. I figured out the problem. Just need to find the newest correctly modded apk. The stock apk checks for and disables HDMI output. Hoping someone has the right apk posted somewhere.
