Nest Cams vs. Apple HomeKit Secure Video

Ok, so we went all in on Nest Thermostat and a few nest cams and even the nest hello doorbell before they got bought by Google. I see that Apple is getting more into the game with HomeKit Secure Video.

My question becomes, is apple really more secure / private in this department? I guess the fear is that folks at Google could be monitoring my cams but doesn’t the same fear happen with Apple?
I’m surely not famous and live a boring life with kids screaming. I can’t imagine anyone wanting in on that action.

Just thought I’d poll the experts here just to see if there’s a reason to move more to HomeKit Secure Video.
