Mac to Mac iCloud question

I recently bought a MacBook Air. I have a desktop Mac as well.....It automatically synced all of my desktop files and others to my new MacBook Air.
When I wipe the Mac Desktop clean and restore to sell it....will that delete my files from the iCloud/MacBook Air?

It shouldn't. Probably safest to sign out of iCloud on the old machine first. Then do the clean install. The new install has no connection to your iCloud stuff, so it won't change anything there...
