Hot spot AT&T

Wife and I are displaced from our home due to severe damage from Ida. Grateful for the the home we’re currently staying in, but no Wifi available. My current unlimited plan(AT&T)is obviously getting throttled down and I’m interested in getting a Hotspot added to stream movies and games through. Any advice and experience from those with iPhones is appreciated.

Don't know about iPhones. Att has an unlimited plan with no throttling and gives each device 40g of hotspot. You can go through the hotspot somewhat quick streaming. If you have the unlimited data with no throttling you can buy the adapter to connect your phone to the TV. If anyone can suggest a wireless way to mirror an iPhone ? Like screanbeam does for Android. Check your plan they have changed them recently. I had the unlimited elite and just switched to the new version to save $40 a month even though it's the same plan, WTF.

Thanks for the info. I do have a Lightning AV adapter that I can play Netflix, Amazon, etc through my iPhone and into the hdmi port. Works great, but I just need to update my plan to allow for the data I’m burning through. Appreciate your suggestion.

I actually have a rather new Netgear hotspot from AT&T. We tried out a 70 yo remote (very remote) employee and the hurricane took it out him physically. It's just sitting on a shelf right now. There wasn't much data demand for what he was doing so I don't know how well it would work for you but I'm sure the boss would let it walk for next to nothing if not free. Surprisingly we were able to cancel service and roll back his plan about 1.5 months in.

And you can switch to the unlimited no throttling temporarily. When you get back to having wifi change it back to a lower plan. I'm gone for work alot and usually in spots with no wifi so I stick with it even though it's the most expensive.
