Home Karaoke Setup Issue

So, I am less than stellar at electronics so it’s prolly something I am doing.
But, I have a 5.1 Sony receiver, Tonor Mic Mixer, Pyle Mixer, and LG TV with surround sound.
I hooked up my TV to RCA converter via Optical Cable, then ran RCA lines to mixer. Mixer to Receiver. Receiver has surround sound speakers hooked up.
My mics work but my TV sound only works in Optical Mode + TV Speakers and it comes out of the TV Speakers while my mics are heard through surround sound. How the hell do I get it all to come out of my surround sound?
I’ve fidgeted with YouTube, Google, and my own ignorance and can’t figure it out. Only thing I can think of is the converter box isn’t working properly, outside of me of course.
Thanks in advance!
