Help with Internet/TV in Clinton, LA

Moving back to Louisiana after 6 yr. exile in Mississippi. Have ATT Internet 50 ("up to 50 Mbps") now, but not even fiber is available in older neighborhood in Clinton we're moving into. ATT can give me "up to" 3 Mbps. Other than soup cans linked with waxed strings or smoke signals or drumming on hollowed out trees-can anyone offer suggestions? Help!
