Excel formula help

I'm trying to enter a formula that looks up the number in column a, then finds that number in column b on another sheet, and then returns the number in column e to column d on the original sheet
Would that be a vlookup? And can anyone help with the formula?
Many thanks

Are Column B and E in the same sheet?
If so, a vlookup will work. Make sure column B is to the left of column E in your dataset. Also, column A and B need to be in the same format. (number, date, text, etc.)

Yes b and e are on the same sheet
They're in the same format
I still can't make it work. Not sure what I'm doing wrong
Ok I was entering one column wrong.
Thanks!
