Do you ever buy a cell phone for the charger & Accessories?

Walking through the grocery store the other day, they had phones on clearance for $7.99. It included a micro sim charger with wall unit. Also, has a wifi "Android iPod" for a 5 year old to use instead of the phone itself.
Ever buy a phone with no purpose of using it as one other than the price for accessories was worth it?
I used to do this more back when everyone was selling chargers for $30 but hadn't in awhile.

I tend to pick up a few iPhones on the way home from work whenever I need some new cables
