So I’m looking at buying my ole lady a camera for Christmas. Anybody know anything about the Nikon D3500? I want to spend under 700 I would think. Just for causal stuff. Possibly used for real estate photography also. Any help would be appreciated

Honestly, the best under $700 you could get would be the Canon Powershot SX70 HS.
Has built in image stabilization, a 65x optical zoom lens (21mm to 1365mm equivalent) with a 4x digital zoom, autofocus, HD viewfinder, f/3.4 - 6.5, built-in flash, 4k recording, 4k time lapse mode, 20.3 megapixel sensor.
Retails at $599.99 and available at Best Buy.

Got my granddaughter a Nikon D3500 w/2 kit lenses for under $600. Its a very good entry level camera, lenses are fine for normal photos. You can always upgrade lenses. ]
