LG OLEDs are great. But with the OP’s price range of $500 that ain’t gonna happen. Other LG models use ips panels, which are crap.

I personally would not get an OLED. They don't get near as bright as a high end Samsung or Sony which is very important for best use of HDR and Dolby Vision.

Samsung is my go to since gateway tv's went away.
