Ok, I hope I explain this correctly but has anyone in the military or anyone working for the DoD been able to use a CAC reader with an iPad Pro?

My old school usb reader successfully works on my personal laptop (windows) but I’d really like to just use my iPad for non-NMCI work where no PII exists.

However with the new iPad pros, they use usb-c. I know there are some hubs with power pass through that I could connect the old school cac reader into and that MIGHT work. However before I dropped 70-100$ on one, anyone out there done this and had success?

Problem is I think my old school usb cac reader needs power to read the cac card. Not sure that would work but if it did, that would be a cheap solution.

That link shaw LSU provided is to Amazon.

I can't imagine you wouldn't be able to return it the very next day if it didn't work.
