Amazon Prime vs. Google Express

Ok, need some opinions from the experts here. My wife and I have used Amazon Prime for years now and we recently got to wondering why compared to other services such as Google Express?!
-We don't use Amazon Music
-We no longer use Alexa
-We hardly ever watch Amazon Prime Video
-The rush delivery is almost never needed
I noticed that Google Express offers no shipping fees on anything over 35$, I think it is. So can anyone tell me if Amazon Prime is truly worth the 115$ (or whatever they upped it to) a year?
Would it be 119$ cheaper a year to just use Google Express or something equivelant seeing as how they play nice with all the big boys (Walmart, Target, etc)?

with amazon collecting taxes now, it is not the bargain that it used to be. but with all of its amenities, it is still worth it to me.

I have used Google Express several times as I do not have an Amazon Prime membership and am pretty much completely invested in the Google ecosystem. I can try and answer any questions you may have.

I dumped Prime for the same reasons but you get free shipping w/ Amazon on orders over $25.
I looked at Jet too but did not see any real price difference between that and Amazon.
Another option is Walmart.
Never tried Google Express but to me it seems any of these 3rd party companies have a slight markup on their products.

If they had a google credit card that earned me 5% rewards on purchases through express I could do without the amenities. The additional 2% for being a prime member easily covers the cost of prime.

Good point. I guess the only benefit for us is that like you, we have the Amazon Prime Visa Credit Card that we throw everything on. Yes that gets us like 2% back or whatnot BUT it's only money to be spent on more crap.
It's like the perfect bait and switch but that might be the reason we keep it. Maybe Google/Alphabet should get their own CC with a 2% back benefit to Google Express to really compete.

All generic questions:
1) If you spend 35$ or more, it's free shipping -ALL- the time, correct?
2) Prices seem pretty comparable to Amazon Prime, maybe a little more expensive on Google Express. Do you agree?
3) Does Google Express have monthly subscriptions like Amazon Prime does? We need pull ups for my youngest like clockwork every 4 weeks.

Yes, but you can get cash back or use the points towards you balance through Chase.
I'm going to have a rewards card that I use for everything and pay off every month no matter what but I'm to the point where outside of Christmas I just don't use Amazon too much.

1) If you spend 35$ or more, it's free shipping -ALL- the time, correct? - For most stores yes - some stores it may be only $25 to get free shipping.
2) Prices seem pretty comparable to Amazon Prime, maybe a little more expensive on Google Express. Do you agree? - I would say they are comparable to what Wal-Mart, Target, etc have on their sites.
3) Does Google Express have monthly subscriptions like Amazon Prime does? We need pull ups for my youngest like clockwork every 4 weeks. - No monthly subscription and that is one of the main benefits to it.
