Adobe CC no longer available for my computer - any workarounds?

So of course as I start learning how to use Adobe CC programs, they decide to make it so that you can only use it on the new iOS Catalina, which just so happens to be unavailable on my 2010 iMac.
Is there any way for me to get around this without having to buy a new machine?

switch platforms to Corel Draw/photopaint/etc.
The interface is so much more userfriendly compared to AI and they still offer a program that you can buy, as opposed to a monthly sub that's very overpriced. Do you have school-aged kids by any chance?
