The only way it's not a red is if you want to say he didn't have possession, although if there wasn't a foul the ball would have landed right in front of him with only the keeper to beat.

Looked like the dirty québécois embellished the frick out of it, the elbow was pretty clearly unintentional. It was a pen but a red for that seems like too much IMO

Ya the refs are fricking terrible from what I've seen this season. This is the only MLS season I've payed attention to so I don't know if that is true of the league in general or not but Atlanta has gotten embarrassingly fricked a handful of times already this season
