Injury
I think that was the start of it but he hasn't been injured for awhile now. I do think that when he was, he lost a little bit and that's still dragging him down in some way, probably mentally.

He's pretty alright nowadays
eh? Torres being anything that he's supposed to be, means he's putting the ball in the goal. He's not 'alright' until that starts again. Nobody plays Torres to create.
I really think his ego swelled to a point that once he faced all those injuries, it created a mental void that he couldn't fill. Amateur psychology, but I know there's truth in some of that.

Yeah, no one wants to pay 50 million for a pretty Emile Heskey. I'm probably giving him too much credit

Probably the only Barcelona player to receive a standing ovation at the Bernabaeu as a Barcelona player
Found this on Wikipedia:

The star of the Barcelona team was Ronaldinho, who became the second Barcelona player after Diego Maradona to receive a standing ovation from Real Madrid fans.

Mindblowing when you consider some of the players that Barcelona has had. Of course, you wouldn't expect a fanbase to applaud their rivals, but they're obviously willing to do it

I don't think Arshavin's form has dipped as much as people think to be honest. He's just become the scapegoat for this season. He's always looked disinterested. Don't know why people think it means he's checked out now.
His dip has as much to do with Arsene sticking him out of position in a formation that probably doesn't suit our overall talents these days. He's always been more direct than anyone we've had the past few years. He gets in the box and plays dangerous balls. He still does that fairly well, we just don't have players that attack those balls except for RvP.

Fernando Torres has looked good enough recently to rule himself out of this thread, imo
