Where are the refs from?

Can anyone access the info that states where each ref is from? Why don't the refs work directly for the NCAA and not the conferences? Seems like the NCAA would want to manage these for equality and then put teams together from all across the country.

Three are from Tuscaloosa, and another two are from Northport.
