It's really annoying. That little chart they put up was intellectually dishonest.

Did you honestly think that CBS, whose only contract with college football being with the SEC, would campaign for another conference? The SEC stands to make a killing with an All-SEC title game. You don't think that's not been talked about in the CBS production meetings?

How is it intellectually dishonest to show each team's national rank in total offense and defense? Those are objective statistics.

No, the one comparing only Bama and OSU. Conference rank Bama 1 and OSU 2. WTF was that? They also put the computers up as favoring Bama, which won't be the case in the hypothetical they were discussing.

I didn't see it but I'm quite sure anyone with a vote knows where the teams stand in their respective conferences.

And then GD followed it up with if OSU wins they'll move to two in the computers. I mean is it wrong to show the standings as is?

Bama isn't first in the SEC though, and OSU currently is first in the Big 12. So what were they referring to? The SEC isn't the best conference this season either...

Pretty sure they meant, Bama played in the #1 ranked conference, and the Big 12 being the #2 ranked conference. Not that they were ranked 1 and 2 in their respective conferences.

Objectively the SEC isn't, which is why the computers have favored the Big12 this season. It's an opinion which they stated as factual, at best
