Alabama OG Prospect Ross Pierschbacher

Posted by DrSEC on 11/25/13 at 1:59 pm
Ross Pierschbacher is the No. 1 player in the state of Iowa and an Alabama verbal. He originally committed to Iowa before flipping to Alabama.

In the interview he talks about why he flipped and the response of Iowa fans. Talks about what he is working on to get better and why he loves the Crimson Tide.

David Cornwell Interview

Interviewed David Cornwell for today's show. He informed us he just got cleared for spring practice after the knee injury. Really gave some insight to why Coach Saban recruits so well.

Interview is 24 minutes into show

I am wanting to get some prices on advertising on the SEC website. Please send me an email to info@drsec.org
I hope this is okay to post. I had mentioned this encounter earlier in the year but wanted to share the experience with others. If this is a violation just nuke it. James Franklin

James Franklin post#999 but worth read

Posted by DrSEC on 1/2/13 at 9:55 am
This week I covered the Music City Bowl in Nashville. However, my photographer could not attend this year. As a result, I invited a 10 year old child from the church I pastor who has cerebral palsy and his father to attend the game with me. The boy is the biggest Vandy fan I have ever seen and at 10 can tell you every player on the roster and their number....and many recruiting stories.

The boy was able to sit in the press box with me and go on the field the final five minutes of the game and during the celebration. He couldn't stop smiling as he took it all in!

Anyhow, we were right beside Zac Stacy as Franklin came and told him it was time to stop interviews and go to the locker room. As Franklin was turning to walk back to the locker room he spots my young friend. They had met in a brief encounter several months ago. He makes his way back over and hugs him and takes pictures with him....Think the event is over....not even close....We went to the media room for the q&a....then as we pass by the locker room they took my young friends and let him take pictures with their top players and the MCB trophy.....Franklin even introduced him to his kids.

Two days later he is still smiling.

Someone listed in an earlier discussion the games Murray has been defeated in by teams ranked in the top 25 at the seasons end. As a result, I decided to look up the stats of those games. I think you will find that Murray was not the cost of many of those games.

Auburn(UGA offense 31 points)

15/28 273 yards, 3 touchdowns, 0 INTS

Arkansas (UGA offense 24 points)

15/27 253 yards,1 passing touchdown, 1 rushing TD, and 1 INT (no AJ)

South Carolina (UGA offense 6 points)

14/21 195 yards and 0 Tds, 0 INTs (no AJ)

2011

Boise State (UGA offense 21 points)

16/29 236 yards 2 TD’s, 1 INT

South Carolina(UGA offense 42 points)

19/29 248 yards, 4 touchdowns, 1 INT

LSU(UGA offense 10 points)

16/40 163 yards 1 touchdown, 2 interceptions ( 2 dropped TD passes changed game)

Michigan State (UGA offense 30 points)

20/32 288 yards, 2 touchdowns, 2 interceptions

LSU-Alabama Depth chart

Posted by DrSEC on 12/29/11 at 9:06 pm
does anyone know where an accurate depth chart is for either/both teams for the BCS championship? Thanks.
directly from his staff to a d-1 school. I understand the coaching tree he has just wondering if all of those coaches had gone to other schools first?
to the stat that was posted yesterday that compared LSU and Georgia defenses against common opponents?
I say Wing versus Adams.

Correct Alabama and LSU depth charts?

Does anyone have a link to one or both. Can't seem to find any that have been updated.

Who are each teams hardest hitters

Posted by DrSEC on 10/31/11 at 9:11 pm
I am not into the LSU-UA 24/7 media attention. However, I am in an argument on who the hardest hitters are from each team. Who do you say?

DGD you were correct

I am not one that will hesitate to tell you when I was right. As a result, I need to admit I was wrong. I really thought that Aaron Murray would have worked out the kinks already.

However, the absence of Malcolm Mitchell has exposed his play this year. He is still as good as I thought he was (talent wise) but he, special teams coverage, and the occasional trick play are the only things that have kept UGA from looking like a top 10 team.

So while I was right on all the rest.... on being right about this one.

Division Championship Banner/sign

Posted by DrSEC on 10/12/11 at 6:24 pm
Do any of you know if teams (the one you follow) hangs banners for divisional championships?
I am going to bed before LSU game is over. However, if they win I am 7-0 for the week and that would make me 27-3 on the season. I did blow two scores this week though (Arkansas and Mississippi State) I Didn't do last week because I tore my ACL.

UGA Is Second in the SEC in Pass Defense

Posted by DrSEC on 9/19/11 at 3:07 pm
Sorry for the post. My point is that sack stats can be overrated. I think everyone would agree that UGA has had a much tougher schedule than Alabama. However, they are only giving up 36 yards more passing a game. They have intercepted the opposing qb's 4 times.

***Not a defense of UGA. Just that it is too early to go crazy over stats that are overrated.
