Carson Beck

Posted by cmayes56 on 1/19/26 at 10:37 pm
If he turns that last ball loose.. throws it to the goal line.. it’s Tua to Smith all over again.

The corner was beat, the safety rolled over late..

But Beck is trash in my opinion
Interesting tidbit I just read:

70% of the starters at Indiana are 5th or 6th year seniors .

Average age of starting lineup is 23.2 years old.. thats the average??

Now do Oregon ;

40% of starters are 5th or 6th year players

Average age: 22.3 years old

And finally lets compare
Alabama:

25% of starters are 5th year Srs, no 6th year starters

Average age of Starters?
20.8 years old

All I know for sure.. is 24 year old me would have kicked 20 year old me’s butt???????

Miami?

22.6 years old on average.. might be a good game next Monday night

How did this team win 11 games?

Posted by cmayes56 on 1/2/26 at 10:38 pm
Was it the great defense?

Explosive kicking game?

Spectacular running backs that carried us all season?

NO!

This team won 11 games because Ty Simpson and several receivers somehow managed to overcome no running game and awful pass protection.

But you dumbasses want to act like Ty is awful and it’s all his fault

His arm was over 70% of the total offense.. he wasn’t perfect by any means.

70% !!! It was all on his arm and 11 times he delivered

This team won 11 games because of Ty Simpson gutting it out.

Mendoza vs Simpson by the numbers:

Posted by cmayes56 on 12/26/25 at 9:21 am
More Indiana vs Alabama breakdown:

Indiana played 4 games against teams ranked in the Top 30 in total defense.

Ohio State (13 pts)
Oregon (30 pts)
Iowa (20 pts)
Wisconsin (31 points)

In those 4 games, Mendoza threw for 8 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. (4 of those TDs came against Wisconsin).

Against all other opponents he threw 25 tds and 3 ints.

Alabama:

They played 9 games against top 30 defenses

Georgia twice ( 24 pts / 7 pts)
Oklahoma twice ( 21 pts/ 34 pts)
Missouri (27 pts)
LSU ( 20 pts)
Wisconsin (38 pts)
Florida State (17 pts)
Auburn (27 pts)

In those 9 games , Ty Simpson threw for 19 touchdowns (also 4 against Wisconsin) and 2 interceptions.

So if you remove Wisconsin from both teams , Mendoza is 4 tds/ 3 ints against top 30 compared to Simpson at 15 tds /2 ints.

Overall Ty has thrown for 28 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.

Obviously stats don’t paint a full picture, but they do tell a story.

On a side note: Ty has been sacked 29 times.. Mendoza 18 times ??
So the wife and kids are all napping after all the festivities.. so I decided to break down some film on Indiana

First impressions of Indiana defense:

They play a lot of 2 high on defense, they move up front similar to Oklahoma.. but not to that degree. Very fundamentally sound, but they don’t jump off the screen with overwhelming talent.

The best way I can describe it is they’re solid. But they don’t always run fit every gap. On the back end, they seem to prefer to play zone.. mostly 2 high and sometimes 3 high thirds. They will play man to man.. but it doesn’t seem like they prefer it.

I think Alabama can actually have some success running the ball.. obviously I’m not saying we suddenly turn into a monster on the ground.. but I think they need to be stubborn with it.. 20 run plays and you’ll pop 3-5 for 8-12 yards.

If I was game planning, the TE and backs on a flair down the short seam is part of the plan. There’s yards to be had and will slow down their pass rush. I don’t think they are physically dominate at LB.. but once again they are sound.

On the back end, they do a good job communicating , but i see holes in the zone. If Simpson has time, theres plays to be made, especially down the middle because their safeties will bail.

They are a very good team.. let me capitalize that .. TEAM.

But they aren’t extremely deep, lots of guys up front play extended snaps.. so I think you can wear them down.

If the kiddos sleep in tomorrow , ill try to break down the Indiana offense

But overall :

I think Oklahoma , Georgia , Auburn and maybe even LSU are all better defensively. Especially up front.

The truth about Alabama and the CFP!

So…

For the last few days, every time I open social media or turn on ESPN.. all I see or read is about how Notre Dame got cheated, Alabama doesn’t belong in the playoff blah blah blah.

My favorite lines are “well Alabama gets preferential treatment, Alabama always get the benefit of the doubt.. etc.

So let me be clear..

You darn right Alabama gets the benefit of the doubt.. heck yeah they get preferential treatment. You know why? I’ll tell you why!

Cause Alabama is ye Daddy! They were ye Daddy’s daddy, ye Granddaddy’s daddy and ye Great Granddaddy’s daddy!

Since 1925.. a 100 years ago.. The University of Alabama Crimson Tide has been the Bell Cow of Southern Football.. Alabama brought legitimacy to every team in the southeastern United States when they won the Rose Bowl.

Since that time.. it’s only grown.

Alabama is the standard.. ain’t nobody chanting “we want Ohio State, Oregon, LSU or Tennessee “.. from all a cross the country they chant “We want Bama”!!

Alabama is most viewed team on TV every Saturday

No matter how you choose to count.. Alabama has

The most National Championships

The most SEC Championships

The most Bowl Game wins

The most 10 win seasons

and currently the most former players on NFL Rosters.

Alabama built the two greatest coaches the game has ever known.. Paul Bryant and Nick Saban..

From Wallace Wade, Frank Thomas, Bear Bryant, Gene Stallings to Nick Saban.. we ye Daddy.

So go ahead and complain, cry or pout.. makes no difference to me.

We ye Daddy! Don’t forget it!

In 2025.. Kalen Deboers Alabama beat Georgia , Tennessee , LSU and Auburn.. and hes about to revenge the loss to Oklahoma ..

Do they get preferential treatment ?

YES.. !!!

They earned it!

Roll Tide

One more thing
Piss on Notre Dame

What a bunch of poo nanny’s

Posted by cmayes56 on 12/8/25 at 11:24 pm
80% of the posters here seem to have decided that we have no chance against OU.. that Ty is the worse QB in history..

Of course, most of you are the same people that cried for days about how Auburn was going to kick our arse .. can’t win down there blah blah blah!

Grow a set of balls and stop squatting to piss.

Alabama dominated OU just weeks ago.. only to turn the ball over and lose the game. It happens!

I hope the players don’t have the wide pussy streak up their backs as lots of you folks.

We beat UGA by 3 points.. in the 2nd game, they destroyed us..

We lost to OU by 2 pts.. and on the 19th of December on their field.. Alabama is going to kick their arse..

Stop being such pussy’s

F Notre Dame!

Posted by cmayes56 on 12/7/25 at 12:17 pm
I’m old, older than most everyone on this forum.

I been watching ND screw Alabama since 1966..

Deserving or not, I’ll shed no tears that the fighting Irish are sitting at home.

The rest of the SEC should feel the same way.. more teams in.. more money to split.

Notre Dame resume vs Bama

Posted by cmayes56 on 12/1/25 at 11:00 am
I can’t get my head around how ND can possibly be ranked ahead of Bama!

Combined record of teams Bama beat: 63-57

Record of teams played: 78-66

Now do Notre Dame:

Combined record of teams they beat: 54-65

Total record of all opponents: 73-70

They played 2 teams with 10 wins, lost both games. They beat 1 ranked team.. USC

Meanwhile Bama has beaten 2 teams with 10 wins or more, beat 4 ranked teams.

Not to mention Alabama is the regular season Champion of the SEC.. the best conference in football.

This is crazy that we have to beat Georgia again to ensure our spot..

Just like that.. it’s over

SEC Final Report Card:

Another regular season in the books. So here’s my final assessment.

Miss State, Kentucky, Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina

Combined these teams managed to win 20 games and lose 40.

Grade F

LSU: 7-5

They’re bowl eligible, about all you can say positive. At one point this season they were ranked as high as #4 in the country. But it all fell apart. But no worries my bayou bengal friends.. Kiffen is on the way to save the day. I hope he doesn’t disappoint you. (I think he will).

Grade: D

Tennessee: 8-4

At most places 8-4 is a pretty good year, but I’d imagine that the Hillbillies of east Tenn are growing impatient. Josh Heupal (Bobby Hill) has to be feeling some heat. Especially after the beat down they took yesterday to Vandy.

Grade: C+

Missouri: 8-4

Season started great, but playing 6 straight home games to open helps. Obviously losing you QB for weeks in the middle doesn’t help. But overall a pretty good season.

Grade B-

Vanderbilt 10-2

Greatest season in decades .. Diego Pavia is absolutely the best player in Modern Vandy football. He’s Michael Meyers from Halloween. Everytime you think you’ve killed him off, he gets up and keeps coming at you. If I had a Heisman vote, he’d get mine.

I think it’s a travesty that Vandy isn’t getting in the playoff .. because they are one of the best 12 teams in America.

Grade: A+

Oklahoma: 10-2

Offense is atrocious , defense is championship caliber. They are in the playoffs, thats all that matters .

Grade: A

Texas: 9-3

The horns are screaming they belong in the playoffs .. i disagree . They absolutely have some fantastic wins.. but they have 3 regular season losses and had to go to overtime to beat Kentucky and Miss St.

But Sarks right…. They and every other SEC team should cancel any future games against power 4 teams with a pulse. Strength of schedule doesn’t matter apparently and with 9 conference games coming it’s pointless to play out of conference games against good teams .

Grade: B-

Texas A&M: 11-1

Fantastic year, but fortunate to have played 7 of the bottom eight teams in the SEC. Before playing Texas… their league opponents were 11-41. But you can’t control your schedule and they beat everyone on it till the end.

Grade: A+

Ole Miss:11-1

Greatest season in the Moden era.
The Rebels haven’t been this good since the sport was integrated in the late 60’s early 70’s.

I think they had a chance to make some noise in the playoffs , but with Lane existing out the side door.. who knows now. (I think he’ll live to regret leaving btw)

Grade: A++

Auburn: 5-7

They lost 6 conference games by a touchdown or less. Lost by 10 to Georgia and I don’t need to remind my Auburn friends of how that game played out.

The defense is championship level and in the last few weeks they’ve shown life on offense.

I know fans cringed everytime Freeze said “we’re close”… but he was right.

Winning is a mindset .. and honestly Auburn no longer has it. They used too.. but the musical chairs in coaching changes and lack of continuity in the program has destroyed the mystic somehow.

Hiring Harsin, then Freeze were huge mistakes. If I’m an Auburn guy, I’d promote Durkin and roll with it. I think hes a solid coach , hes tough and hardnosed.. He’s the kind of coach Auburn can win with … they have in the past.

Auburn played their guts out last night .. they have all year. But they don’t know how to win anymore.

Grade: F

The only thing left is Bama v Georgia in Atlanta …

All the negative nannies

Posted by cmayes56 on 11/30/25 at 12:34 am
Just STFU!

You all whined and posted all week about how Auburn was going to win blah blah blah

I called you pussies then and you’re pussies now…

Find another team to cheer for because we don’t need you

So with ND at #9

Posted by cmayes56 on 11/18/25 at 8:46 pm
What happens if Georgia Tech beats Georgia again this year.. does ND pass them as well?

Because Alabama definitely passes Georgia (head to head)

Pretty comical actually. ND played 2 games against a quality opponent (USC is good) and the lost both games.

Same old crap most of you said last year

Posted by cmayes56 on 11/17/25 at 12:05 am
“Auburn is gonna beat us”… “Deboer isn’t a good fit”
“We’re doomed “

Shut the frick up!

The offense finds its rhythm against a weak opponent on Saturday.. which after the grind they’ve been through is much needed.

Then it Auburns turn. Don’t be fooled by what Auburn did with Vandy offensively. New QB, a really simple game plan of a few different plays and wrinkles.

Auburn will throw everything but the kitchen sink at us in two weeks and it won’t be enough.

The Jordan Hair Voodoo is a gone.. Bryce and Metchie cracked the spell in 4 OTs and crazy arse Milroe vanquished it with the Grave Digger.

Bama rolls into Atlanta with a playoff berth in hand and takes care of A&M as well.

So stop being a bunch of chicken shite losers

From an old HS coach’s perspective

SEC Grades and Review:

Georgia:

Gunter Stockton was lights out last night. 24/29 229 yards, 4 TDS and 1 rushing.

The defense was salty in the trenches.. they gave up just 23 yards on the ground total.

Dominating performance in all phases of the game.

Grade: A+

Texas:

They found out what a Saturday night in Athens Georgia feels like… Arch didn’t play horrible.. 251 yds, 1 TD 1 INT. He had no running game (it matters) and was sacked 3 times.

The defense was gashed.. and Texas is pretty stout on the edges and in the back end. But they weren’t last night. They got ambushed.

Grade: D-

LSU: they won so that matters most, but they didn’t play well. But they put together a 92 yard drive at the end to win the game so kudos are in order.

Grade: B-

Arkansas:

They find ways to lose.. had 3 possessions inside LSU 10 yard line and managed 7 pts. Of course Bobby elected to go for two 4th downs instead of kicking chip shot fgs.. they lost by 1?????

Bobby needs to get his motorcycle back out.. he can wreck it too.

Grade: F

Ole Miss:

They struggled early but got it going in the 2nd half.. Lane does a good job and barring a collapse they’re a playoff team.

Grade: B

Florida:

The talent, especially on defense is obvious. But this is not a good team. Lagway hasn’t lived up to his preseason hype. But they keep playing hard and in today’s atmosphere in college football that counts for something.

Grade: D+

Texas A&M:

Down 27 at the half??.. that’s not great to say the least. Coming back to take the lead with 10 minutes to go in game says a lot about the chemistry of this team.

When Reed gets in going, he’s as good as any QB in the country and they have weapons everywhere.

The defense is nasty up front and they make plays. But all that doesn’t erase the first half. Coming back against SC isn’t the same as doing it against a top tier team.

Grade: B+

South Carolina:

Great first half, but it’s a 60 minute game. They continue to lose games they probably should win.

But at least the 2 players that got forearmed shivered in the tunnel handled that situation well. In my opinion the State Trooper should be charged with assault.

Grade: D

Oklahoma:

Their front 7 is as good as there is in college football. They create havoc, play with abandon and will hit your butt. The secondary is the weak link.. and they were yesterday. Gave up over 300 in the air.. But the Defense is why they won the game.

Defense travels and when they give the offense the ball twice inside the opponents 30.. have a pick six.. you usually win.

Offensively, they aren’t anything special. They didn’t play very well.. all year or yesterday.

Special teams is fantastic:

Grade: B+

Alabama:

Where do we start? ??

If you chop the bottom lines off the stat sheet you’d say they won by double digits. But that’s not how the game works. Pilling up yardage is great.. but you have to finish drives.

The defense played lights out and kept them in the game. When your opponents avg starting field position is their own 44 yard line, and 3 drives started inside your 30 yard line.. only giving up 23 points is winning football.

Kicking game is ungood.

Grade: C- (only because the defense kept them in the game)

Final review:

Georgia looks like they may be the best team in the league.. at least last night. Played their most complete game..

Texas A&M has benefited from playing the bottom 7 teams in the SEC so I’m not completely sold on them yet

Oklahoma is salty but it wouldn’t surprise me if they drop one of their last two..

Alabama is still a really good team but if they don’t clean up ball security, protection they could lose at Auburn and flush the season.

Everyone blames Ty Simpson and he definitely has to shoulder a big portion of the blame. But through 10 games.. Ty and the receivers have had to carry this offense.

I said 2 weeks ago I didn’t think they would get out of November unbeaten.

The running game was a little better yesterday, they actually had ONE run for over 10 yards… ONE!!!

The inability to keep a defense like Oklahoma honest with a run threat means your QB etc has to play perfect. Well they weren’t perfect and they lost because of it.

Overview:

If Alabama can manage to survive Auburn.. they go to Atlanta to face either Texas A&M or Georgia. There’s no scenario that changes that.

If they don’t survive Auburn.. none of it matters and it’s another season of playing in a meaningless bowl game.

So for both Texas A&M and Alabama.. it’s a one game regular season. Beat Texas and beat Auburn.. meet in Atlanta.

If Either one of them lose… Georgia is going to be there waiting for someone and I don’t think anyone wants to see them .

81% chance to make Playoffs

Posted by cmayes56 on 11/15/25 at 11:25 pm
10 games in.. I’ll take those odds
Just STFU!

Turnovers were the difference and OU created them. Alabama outplayed the OU team in every facet of the game. But you can’t give up a pick six , 2 fumbles inside your 30 and a long punt return to give them a FG.

Ty is a good QB, Deboer is a good coach, the defense is outstanding.

Jam is a waste of space, Talty isn’t very good ..

Just refocus, go get some good reps in next week and get some timing back.. go beat Auburn.

That puts us in Atlanta and in the playoffs.

End of story

Oklahoma is our kryptonite

Posted by cmayes56 on 11/15/25 at 6:36 pm
It’s just weird.. they do to us what we do to Georgia.

Done deal.. It’s Bryan Harsin

Posted by cmayes56 on 10/27/25 at 12:22 am
This guy got a raw deal in Auburn! He’s on the plane headed to Baton Rouge

Best Lot to park on Gameday?

Posted by cmayes56 on 9/30/25 at 10:00 pm
Been a while, taking the wife and son this weekend.

Where’s the best lot?

I used to park off 15th towards the back of the stadium. Is that still an availably option ?
It’s at home, despite our shortcomings we’re better than them and Milroe will feast with his legs!

So STFU with all the negativity around this game.
