They should have just called it the Wuhan Flu

Imagine a world where the flu didn't exist and then suddenly did.
A highly infectious disease that is spreading rapidly world wide and killing hundreds of thousands.
Think of how the media would cover this dangerous and deadly new virus. Think of the hysteria, think of the panic. Think of people's reactions to the number of infections and the number of deaths.
Yet that same exact scenario happens every single damn year and nobody gives a crap.
The only difference between covid19 and the other thousand flu strains floating around out there and killing people that nobody gives a shite about is the unfamiliar brand name.
Wash you damn hands, cover your mouth and nose properly when you cough and sneeze, avoid public gatherings if you're feeling sick. Old people and people with compromised immune systems should be extra cautious.

If you can show me a stat, a link, something, anywhere, that says the mortality rate for this is equal to influenza I am all ears.
