Russian - yes. When we initially started the adoption, we plan to get a girl. However, nearly every girl baby is adopted and so many boys are left behind to grow up in the orphanages. Hearing that, and with multiple other glaring signs from God this was the right path for us, we chose to adopt a boy. Those left there are kicked out of the orphanage at 16 years old to join the military or make their way on the streets. The vast majority are dead or in prison by the time they are 25. Sadly, I’d say that the vast majority are dead by 17 right now bc they are shipped off to the front lines.
