This is historically incorrect on many levels. The number of Indians actually killed in violent conflicts with US forces is quite small. The vast majority (>90% by most current estimates) of the Indian population in what is now the United States died from disease, famine, or internecine warfare between tribes. Now, I'll grant that much of that was caused by the "white folk," some unintentionally, but the idea of US Army forces rolling through Indian villages wholesale slaughtering women and children is a modern invention. The entire reason Wounded Knee and a handful of other "battles" are so pronounced in American history texts is because they so rarely occurred.

Reconstruction rebuilt and made the South whole in much the same way welfare and food stamps make minority communities whole.

Well I mean the Confederate States of America were traitors to the United States and the Indians were trying to protect their land from invaders.

The Confederate States believed they had a Constitutional right to secede from the United States and did so peacefully. They did not threaten the North or declare war until they were invaded.

If the troops stationed at Fort Sumter had left and the United States had not attacked the CSA, would there have been a Civil War? So who was invading who?
