It's not unusual to see drop off in down ballot races. What seems particularly unusual in this instance is not the drop off in participation...it's that the winner of the next race picked up nearly 100,000 MORE votes than the governor did.
And the drop off in participation from Governor's race to Secretary of State's race was nearly the same number of votes as the number by which JBE defeated Rispone.
It's probably just a strange coincidence. A strange coincidence that involves having to trust Democrats in Orleans Parish in an election.
