I'm talking to a human being. One with an entire lifetime of experience that I did not share, leading this individual to a mindset that I can not fully empathize with.
But just because I don't see the world exactly the same way as some of the folks here doesn't mean that attempting to get them to see my point of view is useless.
Yes there are uninformed liberals hurting this country. And yes there are uninformed conservatives hurting this country. But no, communicating my perspective with either of them is not a waste of time. As soon as we give up trying to convince the world to improve, we guarantee it's demise. So I'll fight the uphill battle at every turn in defense of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, even if that means fighting to save a maiden from a windmill (bonus points for whomever gets that reference)
