But they have had the courtesy to post some pretty decent melts on their homepage for us until they get back on their feet. LINK

Here are a few choice ones, but there are a lot to see. They're all extremely satisfying.

I was shocked. I followed every electoral map site twenty times a day. I saw a blue wall. When it started to crumble, l couldn't believe it. Then PA started turning red. I fell asleep in my PA bed knowing what I would wake up to had touched home. It was almost like 9/11.

What helps a little now is knowing it would have been so ugly either way and Hillary has been spared that. It bothers me that Obama has to deal with this and I love him for his words of peace.

All DUers, we have to find our own peace.

I remain calm after I talked a few people off the ledge yesterday. My reasoning is: it was stolen--again. I’ve been with DU since Bush stole office. I shared with my sister that it’s impossible for people like the POTUS and Hillary not to know about election theft not have done more to fix this problem which I see as the most pressing problem in our country. I have very little sympathy and I blame Hillary and our president for not doing more about this treasonous crime. My 80 year old mother woke up vowing to never vote again after seeing the results. The protest marches, the volatile markets—all conform to the reality and logic that Hillary was the winning candidate--there was nothing that put Trump ahead of Hillary to “win” the election. Furthermore, academically, it’s just not probable that repeated elections end with razor-thin margins—that every other person is a Trump supporter. It’s simply not true. I will vote and let my vote be stolen but I will not be sucked in by the manufactured drama that is Amerikka’s election process.

Well, I am feeling just a tiny bit better today after a decent night's rest and a large amount of dark chocolate. But I am terrified for my minority/LGBTQ/immigrant/progressive/fellow female friends and family. One of my best clients (going back over 15 years) is making contingency plans to move with her wife to Italy, where she was born, if they are faced with losing rights here. My many Muslim clients are terrified.

With DU being down, how do you expect me to know how I feel?

Thanks for the update on the DU website still being down.

It makes me feel good just knowing those little shits at DU can't talk to each other on their own website especially now when they are feeling the burn of defeat.

I'm disappointed. I was hoping I could at least enjoy the melt over there while I was in timeout, and it was down.

Won't take long. I've been banned twice over there for posting statistics.

Yeah, got the hammer a couple weeks ago. Gave some sass and they told me to sit out until the election.

Disappointing.

I would assume that it's "down" for dramatic effect...or laziness.

If it's down because the owners are hurt little sheep, frick them. You deserved to see this result after eight years of divisive discourse, d-baggery, and treating all viewpoints other than your own as an affront to civil discourse.

These people are lazy in their narratives: Hitler, 9/11, KKK, racism, sexism, phobias galore!

Hyperbole on steroids.

They've cried wolf too many times and need their mouths washed out with soap.

Well, Trump supporters are sure enjoying the fruits of their labor.

DisplacedBrain, are you going to say, "President Trump" or are you going to say, "Trump's not my president"?

That's hilarious coming from you.

I'll say Trump. I'll even capitalize it now. He earned it.

I never said Oduma wasn't my president or that I refuse to call him President.

In fact, I am looking forward to January when he is no longer POTUS.

At that time I will refer to him as Barrack Obama.

He needs to learn some perspective. Only something like losing a football game to a rent-a-win opponent is on the same level as 9/11.

That's cool. You still don't refer to him as President Obama. Why would you get upset if people don't give Trump the same courtesy?
