The aesthetics of the Remington leave a lot to be desired. The huge REMINGTON across the side is fricking hideous. The internals are very much the same in mil specs.
However, when I'm talking about the Ruger SR1911 and the mil spec Remington like in the OP, there is no contest. The Ruger wins 9 times out of 9.

Would the 16# work well with subsonic rounds and a can? I'm needing a new barrel and leaning towards a threaded barrel and getting a can for it.
