Man not sure how far you are from Forest Hill but I can take care of you on the plants. We have a large wholesale nursery there. Prob worth the drive if your anywhere in Louisiana.
If you know nothing just get some size measurements for the area you want to do and go ride through some neighborhoods and get some pics of plants you like. Easy to copy someone elses if your lost.
